Hematology Oncology Physician (Hematologist Oncologist) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations for hematology and oncology patients
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other modalities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and nursing staff
- Manage acute and chronic conditions associated with blood cancers and disorders
- Participate in tumor boards, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Engage in clinical research, if interested, to advance the standards of care
- Stay current with advances in hematology and oncology through continuing medical education

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or board eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
- Active and unrestricted medical license
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in the diagnosis and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuing education
