As a Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will work collaboratively with physicians, nurse navigators, case managers, and oncology specialists to deliver integrated, patient-centered care. The practice is located directly on the hospital campus, offering convenient access to an advanced hospital laboratory and pharmacy. You will have the support of a comprehensive care team, including nurse navigators specializing in head, neck, and lung cancers, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a case manager, an oncology nutritionist, and a genetic counselor. Radiation therapy services are available on site, further enhancing the continuum of care for patients.
Your typical daily caseload will involve managing 10-15 patients per day, allowing you to provide thorough assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and educate both patients and their families. Robust support services and access to the EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system streamline documentation and ensure continuity of care.
