As a Hematologist Oncologist (MD/DO), you will work closely with a team of two full-time physicians and two advanced practice providers (APPs), primarily focusing on the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with hematologic conditions. This position involves both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, ensuring continuity of care and comprehensive treatment for patients with a wide spectrum of oncologic and hematologic disorders. Hematologist Oncologist (MD/DO) - Summary
- Deliver comprehensive hematologic and oncologic care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Engage in both outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative services, with a primary focus on hematology patients.
- Collaborate with full-time physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
- Participate in a flexible work schedule designed to promote work-life balance and professional satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic malignancies and benign blood disorders, as well as solid tumors when required.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using the latest evidence-based practices.
- Provide follow-up care, monitor treatment response, and adjust therapies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and ancillary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives as appropriate.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical encounters and treatment plans.
- Supervise and mentor APPs and other clinical staff as needed.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage for designated weekends as part of a shared rotation.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology.
- Active and unrestricted medical license, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in hematologic and oncologic disorders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and flexible work schedule.
