Your role as a Healthcare Scheduler will require you to act as a central point of communication between patients, caregivers, and hospice staff. Effective communication of patient needs and schedule changes is critical, and you will regularly facilitate interdepartmental and branch communication to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned. Additionally, you will provide vital administrative support through generating reports, managing schedule changes in electronic systems like HCHB, and assisting the Director of Patient Care with various administrative tasks. The position may also involve helping train and provide in-service education for new Scheduler staff members.
Successful candidates for the Healthcare Scheduler position should have prior experience scheduling in high-volume medical environments, such as medical imaging centers. A minimum of two years of previous office and computer work experience, preferably within a healthcare organization, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential for managing schedules and reports efficiently.
