As a Groundskeeper, you will operate and maintain specialized equipment, including pavement sweepers, blowers, and pressure washers, to ensure common areas always look their best. In addition to routine cleaning, you will assist with basic exterior repairs such as fixing fencing, signage, trash cans, and lighting fixtures. Your ability to perform light maintenance and handyman tasks is essential for maintaining high standards throughout the property.
This role also involves supporting move-in and move-out activities, event setups, and special projects as assigned by property management. The Groundskeeper must adhere to safety, appearance, and sustainability standards set by the property, contributing to a healthy and environmentally responsible community.
The ideal Groundskeeper candidate is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Groundskeeper - Summary- Responsible for exterior maintenance and cleanliness of apartment community common areas
- Supports property management in upholding safety, appearance, and sustainability standards
- Operates cleaning and maintenance equipment for daily upkeep
- Assists with event setup, move-ins, move-outs, and special projects as needed
- Maintain exterior common areas such as sidewalks, courtyards, parking lots, trash enclosures, and walkways
- Empty and clean trash and recycling areas; remove litter and debris from grounds
- Sweep and pressure-wash exterior surfaces and common spaces as needed
- Perform basic exterior maintenance and repairs, including fencing, signage, trash cans, and lighting fixtures
- Operate and maintain non-landscaping equipment, including pavement sweepers, blowers, and pressure washers
- Monitor and report safety hazards, property damage, vandalism, and maintenance needs to management
- Assist with move-in and move-out clean-ups, event setups, and special projects
- Adhere to property safety, appearance, and sustainability standards

- 1+ year of experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, custodial, or general labor preferred

- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
