GIS Analyst - Summary
- Responsible for verifying, updating, and maintaining geospatial databases for city fee-owned and tax-foreclosed properties, as well as property leases.
- Conducts document research, uploads and enters data into geodatabases, and ensures quality control of GIS datasets.
- Collaborates with a team to maintain accurate property records and support organizational goals.
- Utilizes GIS tools and technologies to manage and analyze spatial data efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform detailed verification, updating, and maintenance of GIS data related to property assets.
- Conduct research on property documents, tax-foreclosure records, and lease agreements to ensure data accuracy.
- Input and update data in geodatabases, ensuring all changes are documented and traceable.
- Apply quality control procedures to validate GIS datasets, focusing on address and legal description accuracy.
- Use ArcGIS COGO or similar tools to create and maintain polygon boundaries for properties.
- Work closely with property management and data teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance database reliability.
- Support ongoing data improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization projects.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with GIS data and performing GIS data editing.
- At least 2 years of experience interpreting land records and legal descriptions.
- Minimum of 2 years of data input and data quality control experience.
- At least 1 year of experience using ArcGIS COGO or related tools for creating polygon boundaries.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills within a team environment.
