General Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary
- Provide advanced clinical support in trauma and general surgery settings as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of trauma and general surgery patients, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide intraoperative and postoperative care under the supervision of attending surgeons.
- Manage wound care, suture removal, drain management, and other post-surgical interventions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding care plans and outcomes.
- Participate in rounds, document patient encounters, and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure adherence to established protocols, policies, and procedures in the trauma and general surgery department.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license (PA-C) required.
- Valid California (CA) medical license is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in trauma and general surgery, preferably in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma settings.
- Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills relevant to trauma and surgical care.
