General Surgeon – Trauma Surgeon (MD, DO) Summary
- Contract opportunity for board-certified general and trauma surgeons.
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for a Level 3 Trauma Center.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive general and trauma surgical care to patients in acute and emergent situations.
- Perform surgical procedures in accordance with established protocols, focusing on trauma and general surgery cases.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call shifts, managing patient care from admission through discharge.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including emergency medicine, anesthesia, and nursing staff, to ensure coordinated care.
- Utilize Epic EMR for efficient documentation and patient management.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to surgical residents and staff as needed.
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the trauma center.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification in General Surgery (MD or DO required).
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification preferred.
- Experience working in a trauma center or equivalent acute care setting.

- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities during high-acuity situations.
- Valid, unrestricted medical license and eligibility to work as a contractor.
