Job Summary: Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care by performing exams, diagnoses, treatment planning, and a full range of preventive and restorative procedures while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, educate patients on oral health, and maintain accurate documentation and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Doctor of Medical in Dentistry (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
- Graduate from an accredited dental school approved by the CODA of the ADA.
- Specialty Dentist must be a graduate of a dental specialty training program that is accredited by the CODA of the ADA or an accepted equivalent program.
- Dental specialists shall have a certificate of training in their specialty area from an ADA-accredited residency training program.
- Certifications:
- AHA/ARC BLS.
- DEA registration #.
- 10 Digit NPI #.
- Board eligible or board certified as required in the TO.
- Certified in Radiography
- License:
- License to practice as a dentist.
- Experience:
- Employed for at least one (1) year on a full-time basis in the practice of dentistry or be a recent (1-year) graduate of an accredited, post- graduate dentistry training program.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients of all ages.
- Provide routine and preventive dental services, including but not limited to:
- Dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
- Fillings, crowns, bridges, and basic restorations
- Simple extractions and minor oral surgical procedures
- Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth, gums, jaws, and oral structures.
- Evaluate dental radiographs and other diagnostic tests to determine appropriate care.
- Prescribe medications, including antibiotics and pain management drugs, in accordance with DEA regulations and state laws.
- Educate patients on oral health, preventive care, treatment options, and post-procedure instructions.
- Discuss risks, benefits, and alternatives of proposed treatments to support informed consent.
- Refer patients to dental specialists (e.g., orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics) when advanced or specialty care is required.
- Manage follow-up appointments and ongoing dental maintenance plans.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing dental practice.
- Adhere to infection control, sterilization, radiation safety, and OSHA standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters in the dental record.
- Maintain active dental licensure, certifications, DEA registration, and NPI number.
- Work collaboratively with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to auxiliary dental personnel as appropriate.
- Participate in clinical team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review activities.
- Stay current with advances in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
- Maintain board eligibility or board certification, when required by the Terms of Occupation (TO).
- Uphold ethical and professional standards set forth by the ADA and state dental board.
- Support efficient clinic operations by managing schedules, treatment flow, and patient volume effectively.
- Assist with maintaining dental equipment, supplies, and compliance with radiography certification requirements.
- Contribute to a safe, respectful, and patient-centered clinical environment.
Work Environment & Schedule: Onsite, Mon-Fri., 8:30am 5:00pm
