IDR is seeking a GCP Cloud Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Colorado. This role focuses on cloud migration, modernization, and automation within a dynamic organization that emphasizes cutting-edge cloud solutions and infrastructure automation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering large-scale enterprise cloud projects and ensuring high availability and system reliability.
Position Overview for the GCP Cloud Engineer:
- The GCP Cloud Engineer accelerates project delivery by implementing enterprise-grade cloud designs and automation standards aligned with the organization's cloud architecture and operational strategies.
- Operating within a DevOps framework, you will lead infrastructure provisioning, cloud migration, and modernization effortsbuilding resilient hosting environments, monitoring systems, and ensuring continuous operational excellence.
- You will be responsible for authoring and governing the standards for cloud service consumption while actively participating in lifecycle management, vendor interactions, and continual technology assessments.
- The role requires a proactive approach to project execution with an emphasis on improving lifecycle processes and adopting evolving GCP capabilities.
- You will participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support production environments and incident response.
Requirements for the GCP Cloud Engineer:
- At least five (5) years of infrastructure development experience with hands-on GCP foundation services including compute, network, storage, security, deployment, and automation.
- At least five (5) years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience in Terraform or similar tools.
- Deep domain expertise in cloud infrastructure solutions such as Windows and Linux IaaS, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers, and IaC technology.
- Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure deployments in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
