As a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive GI care. Your clinical expertise will be vital in diagnosing, developing treatment plans, and managing common gastrointestinal conditions. You will collaborate closely with a skilled team of gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers, ensuring patients receive high-quality, team-based care. The position offers a weekday schedule with protected administrative time, creating an optimal work environment for focused, patient-centered care.
In this role, you will work primarily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday, with a half-day on Fridays, offering a predictable and manageable weekly routine. You will manage an average patient load of 14 or more per day, utilizing advanced EMR systems such as EPIC to enhance patient documentation and streamline communication. Weekly hospital rounding is an integral aspect of the position, ensuring continuity of care for inpatients and fostering a holistic approach to treatment.
The ideal candidate will be an autonomous, resourceful healthcare provider with active Virginia and DEA licenses. Prior gastroenterology experience is highly preferred; however, candidates with a demonstrated passion for GI medicine and a strong desire to learn are encouraged to apply. Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary- Full-time role in a GI practice, supporting both outpatient and inpatient care.
- Serve a diverse patient population across the lifespan.
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers in a team-oriented setting.
- Utilize advanced EMR systems for effective patient management.
