Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage outpatient gastroenterology patients, including general conditions and pre-procedural clearance visits
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
- Conduct inpatient rounding, admissions, and discharges during one week per month
- Utilize EPIC EMR to document patient encounters and ensure continuity of care
- Participate in ongoing clinical education and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted ACNP (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) license
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on gastroenterology or related specialty preferred
- Proven experience in outpatient and/or inpatient gastroenterology settings
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, clinical assessment, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably EPIC
