Gastroenterology Hospitalist (GI Hospitalist) – Locum Tenens Summary- Full-time locum tenens position with Optigy
- Work in a modern, technologically advanced hospital system
- Serve a culturally diverse patient population in Miami, FL
- Opportunity to start in approximately two weeks
- No call responsibilities and no weekend shifts
- Provide direct inpatient care for gastroenterology patients
- Conduct GI consultations and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures as required
- Deliver care in alignment with evidence-based clinical guidelines
- Collaborate closely with hospital leadership and medical staff to maintain high standards of GI services
- Document all patient encounters and treatments accurately and promptly
- Average caseload of 18 patients per day
- Highly competitive hourly compensation (DOE)

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Active, unrestricted Florida medical license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Valid DEA certification
- BLS/ACLS certification from AHA, valid for at least 6 months
- Three to five years of GI experience preferred, but not required
- Demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge in gastroenterology inpatient care
- Values a team-based approach and excels in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team engagement
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to evidence-based practice
