Gastroenterologist (MD/DO) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions, including but not limited to inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Provide consultative services to referring physicians and participate in multidisciplinary case reviews

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
- Current and unrestricted medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice
