Gastroenterologist (MD/DO) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders and conditions
- Perform endoscopic and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as indicated
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on best practices and patient needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, surgery, oncology, and primary care
- Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatment options, and preventive care
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date medical records
- Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education initiatives
- Provide consultative services to referring physicians as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology required
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in GA or eligibility to obtain
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders
- Proficiency with endoscopic procedures and related technology
