Gastroenterologist Hospitalist (GI Hospitalist) positions are now available for board certified or board eligible gastroenterology physicians seeking rewarding contract opportunities. Palm Health Resources is expanding its dedicated team and seeking experienced professionals to enhance the gastroenterology hospitalist service line. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment with a focus on high-quality patient care and professional development.

As a Gastroenterologist Hospitalist, you will deliver comprehensive care for a diverse inpatient population. This includes performing inpatient consults, daily rounding, and a range of advanced GI procedures, such as ERCP, in a dedicated inpatient endoscopy suite. The position is structured as a full-time, block-scheduled contract, with typical rotations of 7 days on and 7 days off, or other flexible block scheduling based on facility needs. There is potential for ongoing contract renewal, making this an attractive option for those seeking both immediate impact and long-term engagement in a leading healthcare setting.

Patient caseload typically ranges from 15 to 20 per day, with responsibilities primarily focused on inpatient rounding and consults, while also covering some outpatient procedures as needed. You will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with hospital staff and other specialists to provide coordinated and effective care. The facility supports its providers with a fully equipped endoscopy suite and a comprehensive credentialing process, ensuring a seamless start and continued success in the role.

The Gastroenterologist Hospitalist opportunity is open to candidates who are comfortable with call coverage, including weekend and 24-hour shifts, and able to manage a high-acuity hospital inpatient service. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain the necessary state medical license. Board certification or eligibility in gastroenterology is required, as well as current ACLS and DEA certification. Experience in performing advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP is required to ensure the highest standard of care for patients.
