Gastroenterologist (GI Specialist) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct outpatient clinic appointments 1-2 days per week, providing comprehensive consultations and ongoing care for patients with GI disorders.
- Perform endoscopic procedures in the endoscopy suite with a forward-thinking GI team, ensuring adherence to best clinical practices and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in a shared 1:9 call rotation covering two hospitals, collaborating closely with hospitalist teams for inpatient care.
- Work collaboratively with tenured advanced practice providers and GI hospitalists to deliver seamless, coordinated care.
- Document patient encounters, procedures, and follow-ups accurately using the Epic EMR system.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development, including participation in CME activities.
- Contribute to the growth and development of GI services through active participation in practice marketing and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of an accredited gastroenterology fellowship.
- Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology (GI).
- Current, unrestricted medical license or eligibility to obtain one.

- Proficiency in endoscopy and advanced GI procedures.
