As a Gastroenterologist (GI) Hospitalist, you will work alongside a group of experienced GI physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs), providing top-quality patient care and performing a variety of inpatient GI procedures. Your expertise will help diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients. Gastroenterologist (GI) Hospitalist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient gastroenterology care to a diverse patient population.
- Perform an average of 16 inpatient GI procedures weekly, including endoscopies and other advanced interventions as credentialed.
- Collaborate with a team of five Gastroenterologists and four Advanced Practice Providers to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care.
- Participate in a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation with 24-hour shifts, ensuring continuous coverage and optimal patient outcomes.
- Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and work closely with hospital staff, nursing, and ancillary teams.
- Welcome and utilize advanced skills in ERCP and EUS, if applicable.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and procedural reports.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and adherence to hospital policies and standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution required.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship.
- Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology (GI).
- Eligible for medical licensure in Missouri.
- Advanced endoscopic skills, including ERCP/EUS, are welcome but not required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
