Gastroenterologist – Inpatient (GI Physician) Summary
- Full-time opportunity for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist
- Work within a modern, fully equipped facility with a comprehensive Endoscopy suite
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of experienced GI physicians and hospitalists
- Enjoy a flexible shift schedule and a supportive work environment
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide consultative and follow-up care to inpatients with gastrointestinal conditions
- Perform endoscopic procedures as indicated, with an average of 3-4 procedures per day
- Round on 8-10 patients daily, ensuring thorough and timely patient evaluations
- Collaborate with on-site anesthesiologists and comprehensive support staff for efficient procedure management
- Work closely with hospitalists who admit and maintain care of all GI patients
- Participate in case discussions, care coordination, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility standards
- Contribute to a culture of patient-centered care, quality improvement, and clinical excellence

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology
- Active and unrestricted medical license
- Proficiency in endoscopic procedures; EUS not required, but ERCP proficiency is highly desirable
- Excellent clinical judgment and strong interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
- Strong organizational and communication skills
