Gastroenterologist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions and diseases.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on digestive health, prevention, and management options.
- Participate in hospital rounds, academic teaching, research, and continuous professional development as applicable.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency and gastroenterology fellowship program.
- Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
