As a Data Modernization Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of a cloud data modernization program. You will lead a multidisciplinary team through every stage of the software development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, user acceptance, and production support. A core aspect of this role is facilitating communication and workshops among business, technical, and executive stakeholders to ensure project requirements are accurately captured and solutions are aligned with organizational goals. This position involves managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks, as well as providing regular executive status reports and ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards.

Data Modernization Project Manager - Summary- Lead cloud data modernization programs with an emphasis on behavioral health reporting and analytics.
- Oversee cross-functional teams, ensuring successful project delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and drive solution alignment.
- Promote data governance, analytics, and AI-enabled delivery practices.
- Serve as the primary functional manager and deputy project manager for enterprise cloud data modernization initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate a team of 10-15 professionals across various workstreams, including data engineering, testing, infrastructure, and security.
- Manage the full SDLC: requirements, design, development, testing, user acceptance, and production support.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with business, technical, and executive stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, technical documents, requirements traceability matrices (RTMs), test plans, training materials, and status reports.
- Support the development and implementation of Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions.
- Promote and enforce data governance and best practices in AI-enabled project delivery.
- Monitor and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, risks, and regular executive reporting.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Analytics, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- PMP Certification is required.
- Proven experience supporting State Government, Health & Human Services, Medicaid, or Behavioral Health programs.
- Demonstrated success in leading enterprise cloud modernization or data transformation initiatives.
- Strong background in managing cross-functional teams and complex government projects.
- Experienced project manager with a background in cloud data modernization and public sector initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration among diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
