Framing Carpenter - Summary
- The Framing Carpenter is responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials as directed by project specifications and blueprints.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and building plans to determine the precise specifications and requirements for framing projects.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other construction materials using hand and power tools.
- Assemble and fasten materials to construct frameworks such as walls, floors, door frames, and window frames.
- Inspect and ensure the accuracy and quality of completed work, making adjustments as needed to meet project requirements.
- Install structures and fixtures, including windows, frames, floorings, and trim, according to established standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering strictly to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced carpenters and apprentices as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an apprenticeship or technical training program in carpentry strongly preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in framing or general carpentry in a construction setting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods.
