Food Production Associate - SummaryThe Food Production Associate plays a vital role in supporting all aspects of the food manufacturing and packaging process. The Food Production Associate is responsible for accurately packing, sealing, coding, and palletizing food products, as well as maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards. This role requires adherence to company procedures and food safety regulations, contributing directly to the continued production of high-quality food products. Individuals in this position are integral to the smooth operation of the production floor, working collaboratively with team members to achieve daily targets and uphold a clean, organized environment. Duties & Responsibilities- Operate weigh-pack and other packaging machinery, ensuring all products are processed according to programmed specifications.
- Assist in placing boxes beneath receiving funnels, replacing filled boxes, taping, coding, and stacking them on pallets.
- Seal, label, and document boxed products in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Lift and move flour bags (up to 50 lbs) and sealed boxes (up to 35 lbs) as required for production and palletizing.
- Inspect finished products for quality, using manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Utilize electric pallet jacks to transport filled pallets to designated areas on the production floor.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation related to production batches and inventory as assigned.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hairnets, beard nets, smocks, and foot covers, at all times in the production area.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads to support overall operations.
