Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) - Summary
- Provide direct patient care in ICU, PCU, and MS Tele units based on hospital needs

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients in various hospital units, including ICU, PCU, and MS Tele
- Float between departments as assigned to meet changing staffing and patient acuity demands
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor vital signs
- Respond to emergencies and support rapid response or code blue situations
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Coordinate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Uphold infection control practices and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in ongoing professional development and hospital training sessions

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification (initial certification required at first available hospital training class)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and patient needs
