The role of a Fire Watch Officer is essential in maintaining the safety and compliance of apartment communities. As a Fire Watch Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous monitoring and documentation of fire safety conditions within residential properties. This position is designed for individuals who are highly dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of adhering to strict procedures and reporting protocols. Fire Watch Officers serve as a critical line of defense, helping property management teams remain compliant with fire safety regulations and ensuring the well-being of residents and assets during active fire watch assignments.

The successful candidate will be able to handle extended periods of walking, remain attentive throughout their shift, and exhibit a calm, composed demeanor, particularly in fast-paced or emergency situations.

This position places a premium on reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently. Fire Watch Officers must possess a keen attention to detail and the discipline to meticulously document their observations and actions. Candidates with prior experience in fire watch, security, maintenance, or military roles are preferred, but those with a strong sense of responsibility and the willingness to learn will also find success in this field.

Fire Watch Officers are required to have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to ensure timely arrival at various properties as assigned. A fully functional smartphone with voice, text, and data capabilities is also necessary for accurate reporting and communication. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, it is not required for all positions.
