Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the design, specification, and coordination of fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and special suppression systems for medium to large-scale projects.
- Serve as a project manager overseeing multiple assignments, ensuring client satisfaction, effective resource allocation, adherence to budgets, and quality control standards.
- Provide expert fire and life safety consulting for both new construction and existing facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Act as a technical advisor to fire protection and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams, offering guidance and insight on complex engineering challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and design staff, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.
- Conduct comprehensive site assessments and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Develop engineering analyses related to smoke control, combustible dust, energy storage systems, hazardous materials, and other specialized fire protection concerns.
- Support business development initiatives by participating in client meetings and proposal development.
- Prepare detailed project fee proposals in alignment with client needs and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in fire life safety code consulting or fire suppression/fire alarm design.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- In-depth knowledge of fire protection consulting, including design, code compliance, plan reviews, and construction administration.
- Proven experience managing complex engineering projects.
- Demonstrated experience in business development and proposal writing.
- US Citizenship required for consideration.
