Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician - Summary
- Responsible for the programming, calibration, inspection, testing, and maintenance of access control systems, CCTV, burglar alarms, and fire alarm installations in commercial environments.
- Works with a broad range of advanced security and fire safety technologies.
- Ensures all systems operate efficiently and comply with industry standards and regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Configure, program, check out, and troubleshoot security and fire alarm systems.
- Interpret and implement wiring diagrams and best practices for access control and fire alarm systems.
- Maintain, test, and inspect Access Control, CCTV, Burglar Alarm, and Fire Alarm systems, with a focus on brands such as AccessXpert, Pelco, Axis, VideoXpert, Security Expert, DMP, Notifier, and Andover Continuum.
- Utilize strong Ethernet networking and computer skills for system integration and remote troubleshooting.
- Employ basic low voltage electrical testing techniques consistent with FASA/BASA Certification requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation and records of all maintenance and testing activities.
- Travel as needed with a valid driver’s license to service multiple commercial client sites.
- Collaborate with team members and management to deliver outstanding customer service and technical support.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience configuring, programming, and checking out security installations.
- Proficient in interpreting wiring diagrams and applying best practices for access control and fire alarm systems.
- Experience with leading industry systems, including AccessXpert, Pelco, Axis, VideoXpert, Security Expert, DMP, Notifier, and Andover Continuum.
- Strong Ethernet networking and computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office Suite.
- Basic low voltage electrical testing skills; FASA/BASA Certification required.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for work assignments.
