In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of technical tasks, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining communication and security equipment. The Field Technician will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in at least five of the following technical areas: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burglar Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Low-Voltage systems. This breadth of expertise enables you to provide comprehensive support and solutions to clients, ensuring their security and communication infrastructures are robust and reliable. Regular communication with project management teams and resource centers is required, including timely updates and the escalation of issues as needed. Additionally, the Field Technician will be involved in training and mentoring less experienced technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.

To qualify for the Field Technician position, candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience as a Technician I or comparable role, along with industry manufacturer certifications or equivalent structured cabling experience. A diverse knowledge of network cabling, CCTV, Fire Alarm, intrusion systems, Burglar Alarm, access control, and low-voltage networking is highly valued. The ideal candidate will also possess basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word. Maintaining certifications such as LIFT and OSHA30 is a requirement, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards on every project.
