Field Service Technician - Summary
- Lead and execute installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communication and security systems
- Oversee and audit the work of on-site technicians
- Maintain regular communication and provide updates to project management and service teams
- Mentor and train less experienced technicians
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain required certifications
- Operate across multiple technical domains including Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Networking, and more
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a lead on-site technician, directing and inspecting the work of peers to ensure standards are met
- Perform complete end-to-end installation and service work for customers based on project schedules
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least five technical focus areas such as network cabling, CCTV, fire alarm systems, and access control
- Provide timely updates and deliverables to project management, resource, and service centers
- Serve as a point of escalation for client concerns and provide effective resolutions
- Assist in onboarding and training junior technicians, sharing best practices and administrative knowledge
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain all necessary certifications for job performance

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Technician I or equivalent technical background
- Industry manufacturer certifications or equivalent structured cabling experience
- Demonstrated knowledge in at least some of the following: network cabling, CCTV, fire alarm, intrusion, access control, and networking
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, etc.)
- Current LIFT and OSHA30 certifications are required
