Field Service Technician OverviewARC Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician for a full-time opportunity in Columbia, SC. As a Field Service Technician, you will focus on servicing and maintaining advanced compressed air systems for a leading industrial services company. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical systems who are committed to delivering exceptional technical support and customer service. Primary Responsibilities- Deliver on-site service, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs for compressed air systems, ensuring optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and troubleshoot system components, including compressors, desiccant and refrigerated dryers, and master controllers.
- Accurately complete detailed service documentation and maintain effective communication with both internal teams and clients.
- Work independently while managing company-supplied tools, equipment, and vehicles with responsibility and care.
- Identify new service opportunities and support parts and accessory sales to help expand business operations.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in field service, maintenance, or industrial equipment support, with a strong mechanical and electrical background.
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, especially 3-phase power, as well as experience with PLC controls and mechanical diagnostics.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve complex technical issues on-site.
- EPA refrigeration certification is a plus, though not required.
- Proficient computer skills and comfort using Microsoft applications for service documentation and communication.
- Possess a clean driving record and the ability to pass required background checks.
