Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Family Medicine Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide primary and preventive care to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and seniors
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, health screenings, and wellness visits
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions in the outpatient setting
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Prescribe medications and manage medication regimens as appropriate
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications
- Participate in light call as scheduled, ensuring continuity of care
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and best practices

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Certification by the appropriate national board (AANP, ANCC for FNPs; NCCPA for PAs)
- Ability to provide care to patients across the lifespan, from infants to elderly
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills in an outpatient setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high standards of patient-centered care and professionalism
