Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Outpatient
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a well-established, outpatient-only primary care practice in Virginia. Since 2008, this practice has served the community and continues to grow, recently relocating to a modern, state-of-the-art facility in 2019. As part of an experienced team consisting of two physicians and two physician assistants, the ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering comprehensive family medicine services to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope outpatient family medicine care to patients of all ages, including preventive care, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physicians and other care providers.
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records using eClinicalWorks EMR system.
- Perform routine follow-ups, medication management, immunizations, and patient education.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold high standards of clinical care and patient satisfaction.
- Work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, with a half day each week dedicated to administrative tasks.
- No evenings, weekends, or on-call requirements, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Virginia.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
- Experience with outpatient primary care or family medicine preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, preferably eClinicalWorks, is an asset.
