Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Job OverviewCoughran Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our reputable family practice team on a part-time basis. With more than two decades of service in Northeast Louisiana, our independently owned practice is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered healthcare. The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will play a key role in delivering direct patient care across our established clinic locations in Winnsboro, Columbia, and Sterlington, Louisiana. This part-time position offers a valuable opportunity to positively impact the health and wellness of diverse patient populations within the local communities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive direct patient care in a family practice environment, rotating coverage among multiple clinic sites as needed.
- Perform thorough physical examinations, wellness assessments, and acute illness evaluations for patients of all ages.
- Utilize advanced critical thinking skills to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health conditions.
- Collect, document, and maintain accurate patient data in an electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with clinical and legal standards.
- Order, schedule, and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures to guide patient care decisions.
- Prescribe and manage appropriate therapeutic interventions and medications in alignment with current clinical guidelines and scope of practice.
- Coordinate professional consultations and referrals as needed to support comprehensive patient care.
- Champion patient education and preventive care initiatives, promoting overall health and wellness within the community.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative team members to ensure seamless, high-quality care delivery.
- Current, valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Louisiana.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing patient evaluations, diagnostic procedures, and direct care in a family medicine setting.
- Experience with population health or value-based care models is considered an asset.
- Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all regulatory and professional standards.
