Working as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with Decypher, you will provide comprehensive, outcome-based primary care within the scope of your credentials and privileges. This role is integral to maintaining the readiness of our nation’s military community and ensuring families receive the preventative and acute care they need. Your responsibilities will include evaluating, diagnosing, and managing the full spectrum of health conditions, as well as promoting health education and preventive strategies. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices and current clinical guidelines.
In this Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) role, you will utilize your advanced clinical knowledge to care for patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions across all organ systems. Your role will emphasize patient education, health promotion, and disease prevention. As a crucial member of the healthcare team, you will also serve as a mentor and educator, helping to advance the knowledge and skills of other clinical staff through formal and informal teaching and participation in continuing education activities.
Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) at Decypher are required to hold a Master’s degree in nursing, maintain active and unrestricted certification and licensure, and possess current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. A minimum of two years’ experience in Family Health is essential to provide the high standard of care expected by our organization and the communities we serve. U.S. Citizenship is also required for this position. Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope family health services including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of routine, acute, and chronic conditions.
- Conduct patient examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as authorized.
- Administer immunizations and perform preventive health screenings.
- Promote health maintenance and disease prevention through patient education and counseling.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Lead and participate in educational sessions, in-service training, and staff meetings.
- Teach and mentor clinical support staff and contribute to ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to universal precautions and infection control standards at all times.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to a culture of safety.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) required.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Minimum of two years’ experience within the Family Health specialty.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
