Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Summary
- Provides advanced primary and specialty nursing services to patients across the lifespan
- Delivers patient-centered care within a team-based environment

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and make detailed patient observations
- Record and update patients' medical histories and symptoms
- Develop and contribute to individualized patient care plans
- Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests to inform care
- Monitor and operate a variety of medical equipment
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health issues
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments as prescribed
- Detect changes in patients' conditions and modify treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and consult with families as needed
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and injury management

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
- Active licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts
- Board certification by either ANCC or AANP
- Prescriptive authority as required by state law
- Demonstrated experience providing primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Proficiency in using computer-based data management and electronic medical records systems
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of disease prevention and health promotion strategies
