The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive primary and specialty care to patients across the lifespan. As an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic health conditions, as well as promoting overall wellness and disease prevention. Working as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides an opportunity to directly impact patient outcomes by performing thorough patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is expected to see at least two patients per hour of patient-facing time, maintaining a high level of efficiency without compromising patient care quality. In this full-time role, the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will be responsible for conducting physical examinations, recording detailed medical histories, and formulating individualized care strategies. The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests, monitor and operate medical equipment, and administer treatments as prescribed. The FNP will also collaborate closely with families and healthcare teams to ensure patients receive holistic care that addresses both physical and psychosocial needs.
