Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage patient care for individuals across the lifespan
- Perform routine examinations, diagnose acute and chronic illnesses, and prescribe medications as appropriate
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Provide patient education on preventive health, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care
- Document all patient interactions and medical information accurately within the electronic health record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Active and unrestricted California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licensure
- Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through ANCC or AANP
- Possession of a California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing number
- DEA provider number (Schedule II – V authority)
- CURES registration and NPI number
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a primary care setting strongly preferred
- Full professional bilingual proficiency required
