Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients of all ages.
- Conduct physical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with best medical practices.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as authorized by state licensure.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage a daily patient census of 20-28, ensuring timely and quality care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to organizational policies and protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
- National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC or FNP-C) or certified Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Demonstrated clinical experience in primary care or family medicine preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and related healthcare technology systems.
