Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our established primary care team on a full-time basis at North Bay Family Medical Clinic in Biloxi, MS. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to a diverse patient population, helping ensure the health and wellness of families and individuals throughout the community. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about primary care, values teamwork, and is committed to patient-centered outcomes.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine wellness and preventive care visits for patients of all ages, supporting individuals and families in maintaining optimal health.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute medical issues and minor urgent care needs, offering effective and timely interventions.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, high-quality care to every patient.
- Utilize our electronic medical records (EMR) system, EPIC, to accurately document patient histories, examination findings, plans of care, and follow-up instructions.
- Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to empower patients in their wellness journey.
- Active and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the state of Mississippi.
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) certification is preferred, but those willing to obtain certification upon hire are welcome to apply.
- Strong clinical skills in both acute and preventive care, with the ability to adapt to the needs of a diverse patient base.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities, as well as strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to ensure effective collaboration within the care team.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a primary care or outpatient setting is preferred, but all qualified candidates will be considered.
