Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Summary
- Serve as a primary healthcare provider, delivering advanced nursing care to patients of all ages.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop and implement treatment plans.
- Promote health and disease prevention through patient education and counseling.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage acute and chronic health conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams and patient history reviews.
- Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries, as well as chronic health conditions.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to inform clinical decision-making.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement individualized health management strategies for patients.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic medical records and point-of-care technology.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, regulations (including HIPAA and OSHA), and current clinical guidelines.
- See a minimum of two patients per hour of patient-facing time, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in Massachusetts.
- Board certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Authorization to prescribe medications.
- Demonstrated experience providing primary care as an FNP.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and data management systems.
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of disease prevention and health promotion strategies.
