Family Medicine Physician (Primary Care, MD/DO) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct primary care services to patients of all ages, emphasizing health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families
- Conduct routine and preventive health screenings, immunizations, and assessments
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging studies
- Coordinate specialist referrals and follow-up care as needed
- Manage electronic medical records and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with best practices, continuing medical education, and compliance standards

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine
- Active, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in IA
- Demonstrated experience in Family Practice or Primary Care settings is preferred
