Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) - Summary
The Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) provides primary and preventive care for a diverse patient panel, focusing on high-quality outcomes, continuity of care, and building trust with patients. The role supports a strong team-based approach and allows for meaningful patient engagement through extended visit times and manageable daily patient volumes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive primary care and preventive services to patients of all ages.
- Lead and collaborate with a care team, including Medical Assistants (MA) and Registered Nurses (RN).
- Provide acute and chronic care management, emphasizing preventive medicine and early intervention.
- Conduct well-woman exams and manage birth control prescriptions as part of routine care (preferred).
- Perform in-office procedures as appropriate to training and experience (preferred).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and care plans.
- Dedicate ample time to each patient, with annual visits scheduled for 60 minutes and follow-up visits for 30 minutes.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings to optimize patient care delivery.
- Engage in ongoing communication with patients, families, and care team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Support the health center's mission to enhance the overall well-being of the patient population through education and preventive strategies.
- Manage a finite patient panel, allowing for deeper relationships and improved health outcomes.
- Utilize built-in administrative time to reduce non-clinical burdens and focus on patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, or both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Experience in outpatient primary care preferred.
- Comfortable performing well-woman exams and prescribing contraceptives (a plus).
- Experience with in-office procedures (a plus).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
