Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) - Summary
- Provides comprehensive family medicine care across all phases of practice, including outpatient, inpatient, home, and long-term care settings.
- Operates independently while reporting directly to the Medical Director.
- Collaborates with mid-level practitioners and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Engages in preventive health programs and community health initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts thorough patient examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for both pediatric and adult populations, including pre- and post-natal care and obstetric/gynecological services.
- Serves as a consultant and mentor to mid-level practitioners, providing guidance on complex cases and co-managing patient care as needed.
- Prescribes and dispenses medications, interprets laboratory and diagnostic imaging, and initiates appropriate medical or surgical treatments.
- Refers patients requiring specialized or inpatient care to appropriate facilities or specialists.
- Supervises and supports clinical staff, ensuring adherence to protocols and quality standards.
- Participates in the coordination and delivery of preventive health programs, including immunizations, screenings, and public health education.
- Maintains all required licensure and certifications to practice medicine.
- Performs additional clinical or administrative tasks as assigned by the Medical Director.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current license to practice medicine as an MD or DO.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong clinical judgment, discretion, and confidentiality skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexibility in work assignments and willingness to rotate as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance if required for travel between sites.
