Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) Job OverviewInterMed, P.A. is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our collaborative, physician-led healthcare team. This full-time, part-time, or job-share opportunity is ideal for professionals dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across all ages. Located in South Portland, Maine, our practice serves a vibrant community, offering a unique blend of professional support and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide full-spectrum primary care for patients from newborns to seniors, ensuring comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Establish and maintain enduring patient-physician relationships that foster trust and long-term health outcomes.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary care team, including experienced Medical Assistants (MAs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), to deliver seamless and coordinated care.
- Utilize an AI-enhanced Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to document care and support clinical decision-making.
- Coordinate care and referrals with in-house specialists from Cardiology, Dermatology, OB/GYN, ENT, Neurology, Urgent Care, and more.
- Participate in quality improvement and innovation initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, including mentorship, leadership opportunities, and continuing education.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Maine.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based, compassionate patient care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems preferred.
