Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) – Full-Time Position OverviewOptigy, the largest independent primary care group in North Carolina, is seeking a Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join its dynamic team in Roxboro, North Carolina. This full-time, permanent outpatient opportunity is ideal for a physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality, value-based care within a unique hybrid model that blends primary care with urgent care services. Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive outpatient care to patients, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions.
- Deliver both scheduled primary care appointments and address urgent care needs within a hybrid practice model.
- Participate in a light call schedule (1 week on / 8 weeks off), ensuring continuity of care for your patient panel.
- Emphasize value-based, quality-driven care in accordance with the group’s standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, advanced practice providers, and administrative staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to leadership initiatives within the organization.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) to practice medicine in North Carolina.
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Interest in practicing within a hybrid primary care and urgent care model.
