Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time opportunity in Machesney Park, IL. As a Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO), you will provide patient-centered primary and preventive care, helping to improve health outcomes and build lasting patient relationships in a supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality primary care services, including acute and preventive care, to a diverse patient population spanning all ages.
- Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team comprised of a Medical Assistant (MA) and Registered Nurse (RN), focusing on coordinated patient care.
- Utilize relationship-based approaches to patient care, ensuring patients receive personalized and attentive service.
- Focus on preventive medicine, conducting wellness visits, annual physicals, and follow-up appointments to monitor patient health and manage chronic conditions.
- Perform clinical procedures within your scope of practice and comfort level, with opportunities to expand procedural skills.
- Manage an average patient load of 8-14 individuals per day, allowing for extended visit times to build trust and improve outcomes.
- Dedicate time for administrative tasks with built-in work periods to minimize after-hours paperwork and focus on patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.
- Experience performing well-woman exams and prescribing birth control is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Experience with clinical procedures is an advantage but not required.
