We are seeking a talented and driven Executive Chef to oversee and lead our culinary team in a vibrant casual dining environment. Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations: Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining cleanliness. Ensure that all dishes consistently meet established quality standards, are served efficiently, and adhere to specified recipes and portion sizes.
- Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and prep personnel. Encourage a collaborative and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork and providing ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
- Food Quality and Safety: Maintain rigorous standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation. Implement and enforce strict food safety protocols and sanitation regulations. Conduct regular inspections and take corrective actions as needed to ensure full compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
- Inventory and Cost Control: Effectively manage food inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste. Utilize efficient portion control practices and collaborate with management to develop and monitor kitchen budgets. Focus on cost control strategies to maximize kitchen efficiency and profitability.
- Staff Training and Development: Deliver comprehensive training to kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, plating presentations, and adherence to recipes and standards. Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and improvement within the culinary team.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and general workplace safety procedures. Maintain accurate records and up-to-date documentation to support regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Executive Chef in a full-service casual dining restaurant environment.
- Demonstrated culinary expertise and a deep understanding of kitchen operations.
- Proven leadership abilities and effective team management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while effectively managing pressure and demands.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience with inventory management and cost control best practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
