This involves addressing and resolving the most challenging system configuration issues, data inconsistencies, workflow problems, and module-specific concerns that impact high-profile agencies with statutory service requirements. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting technical challenges, analyzing integration points, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless solutions.
In this full-time position, the ERP Functional Consultant (CAPPS) will also support the investigation of integration and interface issues, including API connections, data imports and exports, and middleware troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge of tools such as App Designer, Integration Broker, SQR/SQL, BI Publisher, and SAP Business Objects, as well as a thorough understanding of system configuration and security best practices, including NIST standards and multi-tenancy considerations for statewide ERP deployments.

ERP Functional Consultant (CAPPS) - Summary- Provide advanced consultative and functional support for the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS).
- Serve as a Level 2 support specialist, addressing complex and high-profile functional and technical issues.
- Support statewide agencies in maintaining statutory compliance and operational excellence through ERP system enhancements and troubleshooting.
- Deliver expert consultative services to stakeholders and end users of the CAPPS system.
- Resolve advanced troubleshooting cases involving system configuration, data inconsistencies, and workflow challenges.
- Investigate and resolve module-specific issues affecting payroll, accounting, HR, and related functions.
- Support integration and interface investigations, including APIs, data imports and exports, and middleware connectivity.
- Collaborate with other technical and functional experts to ensure robust and reliable system performance.
- Conduct oversight of batch processing jobs, such as Run My Jobs (RMJ), ensuring their successful execution and compliance with security standards.
- Implement and uphold security best practices, including adherence to NIST standards and considerations for multi-tenancy in a statewide ERP context.

- Extensive knowledge of CAPPS and relevant State of Texas policies and regulations.
- Proficient technical skills with App Designer, Integration Broker, SQR/SQL, BI Publisher, and SAP Business Objects.
- Demonstrated experience in system configuration and change management within large-scale ERP environments.
- Proven ability to manage and oversee batch job processes (e.g., Run My Jobs).
- In-depth understanding of ERP security standards, including NIST and multi-tenancy best practices.
