Equipment Maintenance Technician - SummaryAs an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that all production equipment within the laundry plant operates efficiently. Your expertise in preventative and emergent maintenance will help maintain equipment reliability and extend its service life. Duties & Responsibilities- Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment, including conveyor and overhead rail systems.
- Quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues such as jams, broken or missing belts, and missing ironer tape to minimize production disruptions.
- Update and maintain accurate records in the maintenance log, tracking incomplete tasks and new issues as they arise.
- Communicate equipment status, particularly any issues impacting production or causing downtime, to Production Supervisors and engineering staff.
- Collaborate with technical and mechanical team members, as well as outside vendors, to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repairs.
- Adhere to all plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and safe handling of hot equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support overall safety and efficiency for yourself and your colleagues.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.
