Epic Application Analyst – CPOE Summary
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the design, build, and validation of Epic CPOE (Computerized Physician Order Entry) modules and related clinical and revenue cycle applications.
- Ensure that Epic applications are seamlessly integrated with current healthcare workflows and support optimal system performance.
- Play a key role in maintaining and advancing Epic certifications to ensure up-to-date expertise in software functionalities and features.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders, to implement and optimize system changes.
- Provide advanced technical support, including tier III troubleshooting and on-call coverage, to resolve complex application issues.
- Participate in a hybrid work model, contributing both onsite at client hubs and remotely as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the design and configuration of Epic CPOE and other clinical modules to support comprehensive order entry and management workflows.
- Develop, validate, and optimize Epic build components, including Orders, Order Sets, and System Lists (EAP Build).
- Facilitate the integration of Epic applications with existing hospital and clinical information systems to promote streamlined operations.
- Maintain active Epic CPOE certification and pursue additional certifications, such as Orders Transmittal, to enhance system knowledge.
- Serve as a liaison between end-users and the IT department, translating clinical requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, and ongoing application support to ensure continuous improvement and stability.
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule to address escalated issues and ensure uninterrupted application availability.
- Document system modifications, enhancements, and support activities to maintain comprehensive records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with Epic product updates, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements impacting clinical information systems.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Epic build, specifically in Orders, Order Sets, and System Lists.
- Active Epic CPOE certification is required; additional certifications such as Orders Transmittal are highly desirable.
- Strong technical proficiency in Epic configuration, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
